Terschelling Sunset
The Isle of Terschelling in the north part of Holland (Dutch Waddenzee) is an attractive island filled with variety. Many visit the island to get away form the daily madness. And what would be better than to experience the trip to Terschelling when the sun is setting. Sailing on the authentic Dutch two-mast sail ship 'Vliegende Draeck', enjoying the sea, wind and freedom while a true Dutch meal is being prepared for you. You spend the night on board the Vliegende Draeck in or in front of the port of Terschelling . The next morning you can enjoy a steady breakfast before you start your adventure on the island. Whether you choose to explore nature on foot, by bicycle to the many activities the island has to offer. In the afternoon you will be sailing back to port (Harlingen) and you will feel as though you were away for a week.
TThe Terschelling Sunset trips can be booked almost all weekends throughout the summer season. You board the two-mast Clipper 'Vliegende Draeck' on Friday or Saturday evenings at 1800 hours in Harlingen (by the Zuiderzee). You can bring your belongings to your simple, yet complete quarters. The ship will set sail for the Dutch Wadden. Either during the sail trip or shortly after arrival on the island you will enjoy a steardy shipmates meal, while you enjoy the sunset. In our bar you are welcome to enjoy our drinks along with your shipmates. Depending on the weather you will arrive at/near Terschelling around 2200 hrs. If you then wish to explore the nightlife on Terschelling, this is certainly possible. The next morning you will wake up to a steady breakfast after which you can start exploring the island until 1230 hours. Prior to the trip you can ask weekendsailing.nl to make arrangements for visitations, guides and/or participations to activities. At 1300 hours the ship will leave port and set sail back to Harlingen, using the seal route when possible of course, where you will see the shores of Harlingen again around 1600 hours. At 1700 hours you say your goodbyes to your new made friends and the sunset trip is finished.
The Terschelling trip includes a simple but steardy dinner, breakfast, lunch, overnight on board in two and four person-huts. This trip will have an exclusive price of only Euro 119,50 per person and children between the ages of 5-12 sail along for 85.00 Euro.
